How can English be the most important subject? We should have stopped learning English after high school. We understand how to read and write. We understand the rules of grammar. In my opinion, this is the most overrated subject of all. This is the class where depending on your teacher, you're going to have to read about subjects THEY want you to read. Is your teacher gay? Enjoy reading and writing about gay rights. Is your teacher black? Enjoy reading and writing about the plight of African Americans. I have no reason to read or write reflective essays. I hate English courses. It stopped being about English a long time ago.

Almost every University will say that English is a requirement for you to enrol a course of your choice. Yes, we were all going through the agonizing pain of reading books and writing essays but that's how reality works. In this modern day and age, our writing and spelling abilities decline because of our constant use of SMS text messages or we are typically lazy to write.Not everyone speaks English but it is important to learn it in School because it gives us a better understanding of how we should say things properly and write things properly too. If you want to be a journalist, you need to at least do English as well as having experience by presenting Oral presentations and making statements on Essays. If you want to be a Diplomat, English is again a requirement. Even courses in relation to Engineering, Computing and Art will require English.

By far the most important subject IN THE WORLD. Don't thinkEnglish is only for people who want to be journalists and authors, it's an important life skill to take on board from school, then on to Uni and then speaking in job interviews using correct English. Even in written questions in Science and other subjects give you marks for using good English now.English is my least favourite subject but what I think is the most important subject. It's the world's international language and is everywhere it is absolutely needed for everything in order to be successful. You need it for job interviews to look good for the job, to learn other subjects well and even doing ordinary things like going to the shop. It's English we would know nothing in our society today if we didn't know how to read when you disagree with someone or something it's all English you're the counter claim but you use evidence to support why and we are talking about the most important subject in school that's all English we disagree with each other but we provide reasons why as text evidence and when it comes to MATH you're still teaching me English you're relating it to the real world and everyday life involves compare and contrast and text to text, text to self, text to world especially when it comes to the amendments my rights as a citizen.

I love this subject and what is the world without communication?Moreover, prose and poetry have their major share in intellectual development and guide us to subjects of pure joy like reading.There are many good jobs the subject can offer like translation, preparing subtitles so that other communities can enjoy marvels of English shows and movies, book writing and teaching along with preparing various grammar, comprehension and revision books for English.
