Personally, It surprised me how the author managed to make Rue's death so sad. It really proves how horrible the capital is, and she makes a character that is so sweet and awesome, but that we all know isn't going to live. Still, Rue's death hit harder for me than Prim's even if we knew Prim for all three books and Rue for a few chapters of the first one. - Gracie123
