The Lord of The Rings soundtrack is the best I've ever heard. The music is just the right for what was happening, and it suited the time it took place on. I like it very much. One of the most complex and memorable soundtracks of all time! Honestly, this should be at #1 or #2. There are a dozen incredible principal leitmotifs, and over 80 altogether. The score is emotionally riveting, and you replay it countless times and still find the soundtrack incredibly refreshing. Simply epic from start to

Cannot stress the beauty of this score enough. The feeling of unearthliness associated with the elves, the sadness nostalgia felt when looking at the white tree, the minor themes like Eowyn's that just bring you into focus every time a certain character comes on screen. I will never, never grow tired of this score. Though I think that LOTR and Star Wars are more or less equal in terms of scores, LOTR will always be my personal favourite. It's just seamless.

Not only does the soundtrack for Lord of the Rings increase the power and intensity of the films even more then could be thought possible, but by themselves they are ingenious pieces of work. The melodies, harmonies, and emotional strains are unforgettable and fits amazing with everything from Frodo's climb up Mt. Doom to the Riders of Rohan to the ethereal elves of Lothlorien. No matter how much you play it, the score refreshes and is emotionally riveting every time.

This is by far the best soundtrack I've ever heard. The music is so memorable, original, it sounds so good (it's like ice cream for your ears), and it fits the moods of the movies so well. Sure, I do like some other movie soundtracks, but never more than one or two songs. I love about a dozen of these songs, and all the rest are great too (I like listening to the happy music, it's so relaxing). THE BEST movie soundtrack, period.

Simply epic from start to end. Lots of different leitmotifs, which together manage to make you feel all the different emotions from the movie, going from calm and relaxed themes (Concerning Hobbits) to fast paced and dark tunes such as Mordor and Isengard themes (The Hornburg). Being a big fan of the books, I can also confirm that it fits really well with everything, from Hobbits to Mordor, passing by Elves, Rohan and lots more.

Lord of the Rings should absolutely,100%, be number 1. Everything, from dark and slow themes (LothLorien) to epic and fast themes (Riders of Rohan, Minas Morgul), and some that were absolutely terrifying (Shelob's Lair), is composed to perfection. There is no way that The Lord of the Rings should be less than number 1 in anything, much less it's soundtrack.

I am a bigger fan of Star Wars, Mario, and Lego, but I agree that the Fellowship of The Ring definitely has better music than Star Wars! My favorite song from The Fellowship of The Ring is 'The Great River', I love the wonderful music, and as the fellowship paddle their boats twoard the giant statues! I especialy love when Aragorn says: ''Long have I desired to look upon the kings of old'' (refering to the giant statues)! The only music that I like better than The Lord of The Rings music is Mario music, preferably Super Mario Galaxy's soundtrack! I would have voted for Galaxy, except SMG is a video game, and these are the MOVIES with the best music. My thanks to my favorite musicians, Koji Kondo, Howard Shore, and John Williams for providing me and so many others with their great music!

I feel that this soundtrack capture the essence of the events and characters in the novel. I think everyone would agree that, for example, Concerning Hobbits captures the gentle and kind nature of the Hobbits.
