Guardians of the Galaxy has to be one of the funniest comic book films of all time! The humor is well-timed, it does however let in some emotion which is nicely directed and does not have very awkward tonal shifts. The CGI is excellent. Yondu is a very good villain/anti-hero, he does not really want to kill Peter Quill, but he does not want him alive either, its a fun chemistry! The soundtrack by Tyler Bates is also top notch and the Guardians theme is up there with the likes of Captain America and The Avengers! The characters have heart, theyre distinguishable, and above all, theyre all likable! James Gunns directorial style and humor is really what drive the film along with a stellar music choice from the 60s, 70s, and 80s and great performances by Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and basically everyone in the Guardians team!
