Ewan Mcgregor delivers his all in ROTS despite the corny dialogue he is given. In my opinion, people overrate this character way too much. He isn't a great teacher as some people have said. He never defended Anakin from the Jedi council when he was present. He cuts all of his "brother's" limbs off and leaves him burning instead of ending his suffering. Obi-Wan also constantly belittles and criticizes Anakin in AOTC. I understand Obi-Wan is supposed to be a flawed teacher, but he is too flawed. In A New Hope, Obi-Wan remembers his relationship with Anakin as something to be fond of. I don't think their relationship is something to be fond of as shown by the prequels. And in the Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan is forgettable and has barely anything to do. The only time this character ever comes close to greatness is in ROTS. But he is still one of the weaker characters of the Star Wars saga, but one of the better prequel characters which isn't saying much. - incognito2020

He fought in more duels than any other character throughout the whole franchise. In the original trilogy, they may have not shown much of Obi-Wan's actions. But in the prequels, they showed Obi-Wan was such a skilled and fierce knight and he wins in almost all of the fights he's been. He is the reason why the prequels is so good. He fought and defeated Darth Maul, almost defeated Jango Fett (kicked his butt at least), survived his battles with Dooku, dueled and killed Grievous, and finally defeated Anakin Skywalker. I think he should be number one, and should even outrank Yoda cause we get to see him more in action and he wins at least in two or three of his many battles.

Kenobi was one of the main and loved characters out of all the other Star Wars episodes. Without him, there would be no Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker who is also a loved character. Obi Wan obviously deserves the #1 slot. He was also very powerful and wise Jedi. The best teacher, he was.

Obi Wan is the best that could happen to the prequels. I don't actually hate the prequels. They might be very flawed and have some dumb dialogues and annoying characters, but there are many things I appreciate it. And Obi Wan Kenobi is my absolute favorite of the Star Wars saga.
