I've seen Spirited Away a few times and I think that it is overrated. The plot seems a little week at spots and the love story isn't very powerful. It did not leave such a mark as a few other animes, such as Princess Mononoke, did for me, but that is just my opinion. Many prefer the story of Spirited Away. I personally hate the ending... It seems anti-climactic to me. It has just been so hugely advertised and distributed in America that other anime films don't even stand a chance. - Mightyena5875345

I like this movie since the first time I found it in Sony...this and some other animes are the reason that I love to draw more than when I was younger. The truth is, all Miyazaki movies are the best, and what appeals to me is that everything that he has made is around a world were the good is those that take care of mother earth and the bad ones well those ones never win haha...I wish there would be a "to be continue" on some of his movies but is part of its charms and well there it is, my opinion. n.n

At first, I feel not watching this anime until Disney have televise it. It's a masterpiece full of symbolism and great character development for our mc. Every scene is fully detailed or animated which the unexpected for an anime which have been created hand drawn. that's real dedication right there by the creator. No anime movies comes close in terms of storyline, details, character progression and hard work to this one.

I was torn between this and Princess Mononoke, but what it came down to was with Princess Mononoke I was a little tired by the end and was kind of glad that it was over, with this I was very disappointed that it was over. I mean this could have gone on for four hours and I probably still would have wanted more. Princess Mononoke may have had the better story, this was just more fun.

Every SG Film like Ponyo, SA, My neighbor totoro, Kiki's delivery service, and Grave of the fireflies are just so real and amazing. Characters with real problems, real worries, and real flaws. And not just mary sues. This is easily the best, though, the message and vibes of the amazing fantasy world is better than most "good" films out there. #1

Not only my favorite anime film but I consider it my favorite film of all time. Why? I have no idea. But it has something to do with the magic Hayao Miyazaki puts into his films, and it worked especially well for this one.
