The H1 Salt range of knives are the best that I have owned, living at the coast I have had opportunity to test the stain resistance. This knife is with me wherever I go, even in the sea. Worst customer service I've ever experienced from a knife company and I own just over 200 knives, so that should say a lot! Needless to say, I will never be purchasing their knives again. It also seems as though Spyderco's prices have gotten more and more absurd almost as quickly as their knives grow more and more ugly... Not quite sure what they are doing, but I hope it involves them going out of business.

Out of all of the knives that I have. the Spydercos are the ones that I edc the most. I Have quite a few benchmades, gerbers, spydys, Zero tolerance, Boker, and many others in all the different steels. I truly love them all and I do keep them in regular rotation, but in the end if I had to pick one brand it would be spyderco. luckily we live in a great country and I can collect them all. I am not brand loyal. I also think that the rest of the brands on this list are great. and when I go solo backpacking I take the kabar, but I just got a spydy K2 Farid and I think ill try it when I camp next. oh and on a side note. spyderco might be the best in my hand, but they are by far the ugliest ones to me. good thing I care more about how well they work. "keep your blade sharp, and your whits sharper"
