Correction, at most, 4 percent of the "High Risk" patients die from it. Meaning people over age 80 and with other major health issues, who usually die when they get the regular flu also. Probably the biggest problem is that healthy young people who get it barely feel it, and could spread it to their grandparents.

It is not that simple actually in Italy the death rate is as high as 8% in many other countries it is much lower though. I believe in Denmark there were 500 cases before they had anyone die from it. New Zealand is fortunate enough not to have had any deaths so far. - Powell
