Imagine playing Super Metroid for the first time. You almost arrived to Kraid's Lair, but there is a ledge that is just to high to cross over. Thankfully, you can go to Norfair to gain an item that allows you to jump higher and cross that ledge. Later in the game, you meet some animals, that learn you how to wall jump, which you didn't know how to do before. Then you beat the game and because Super Metroid is a fun game, you eventually decide to play it again. And then, you are back in front og Kraid's Lair, and you think yourself, that maybe that now that you know how to walljump, maybe you could cross that ledge. And then, after running to get momentum, and doing a wall jump, you were able to cross that ledge without the high jump boots that you were supposed to get at first.This is what is call a sequence break. Normally when they are in the game, it's by accident, however, in Super Metroid it was intentionnal, and there are sequence breaks like this everywhere. That's ... more - Eclipsmon
