In terms of its actual quality as a show, I kind of find Ren Stimpy to be just plain overrated garbage (with the exception of a few specific episodes such as Space Madness and Stimpy's Fan Club), but one thing that absolutely CANNOT be denied about it is how much it outright revolutionized (not to mention reinvigorated) the entire concept of "western animation as art".Deliberately designed from the ground-up to be "the anti-cartoon" in literally every possible way, RS was loud, crude, obnoxiously over-the-top, edgy for the pure sake of it, severely lacking in comprehensible writing or actually meaningful moral/social messages...and above all, irresistibly charming.Show me a character more brilliantly animated and acted than Ren himself and I'll show you a man, enough said (if the episodes that I mentioned in this comment's first paragraph don't prove how utterly amazing of a character he is, I honestly don't know what will) - xandermartin98
