If you asked me last year, I'd probably say Penguins Of Madagascar. Maybe even The Nut Job (I know people hate lt, but I enjoy lt a lot.). But P.O.M. lost my vote when I found out that they didn't include He Is Dave in the movie. How To Train Your Dragon 2 is just ausome. It completely outdoes How To Train Your Dragon. I recall the animation being spectacular, the story being grand, the characters being emotionally investing more. The only con is the pretty weak villain. I didn't gain much from him. This totally outdoes Shrek 2, Kung Fu Panda 2 Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. And that's saying something, since I really like all of them (except for M.E.2A., since I'm not a fan of the Madagascar series). This is the Toy Story 3 of DreamWorks. I strongly recommend.

As much as I adored The Lego Movie and Big Hero 6, How to Train Your Dragon 2 was the animated masterpiece of 2014.On a related note, the Academy sucks for not nominating the Lego Movie for Best Animated Feature.
