Yes the graphics have changed, and yes the story too. But it's completely new Ash, in the world that is vary different than what we (and him) used to see. It's my favourite because of the positivity, unique crew of characters- finally more than 2/3 and every of them have an amazing story to tell personally, also there's Lillie's story that really touched me, and I agree every season have a heart touching story, but for me, this is more personal one that some of us faced but never talk about it. Also the 'Ultra Adventures' that took more serious 'Moon' tone is a good mirror to the first 'Sun' season.Many things have changed, but if you'll sit in front of this season with an open mind, leaving nostalgic thoughts and being capable of going really deep into the story- you'll be surprised how valuable it can be.

I think even though this season is very backlashed because of Ash's appearance the anime itself looks incredible and I think it's very underrated. Characters like Lillie and professor Kukui make you want to watch more and see what happens. I also really like the Z-Moves and all the side storylines that happen throughout the show. The pokemon as well are really cool and I love the alolan versions of the pokemon and how it's just an easter egg for evolution theory and the Galapagos island.

To be honest, I have some mixed feelings towards this season. Onto the first episode to Ultra Adventures, this season have some disadvantages in some aspects on the animation. Now, remind you, I don't hate Sun and Moon: The Anime, it's actually quite good for the terms of anime, but it seems that the Anime have put a bit to rushed execution, removing the characters that are appearable in the game version (like Hau) and the arcs lost the pacing from the story. The positive aspects of this Anime are the artstyle, the newer Pok茅mons and the new characters. The negative aspects are the battle scenes, the rushed arcs, the annoying talking Rotom-Dex and the companions of Ash are no longer Trial Captains. It was becoming the softest and lightest installment of the Pok茅mon Anime series aside to X Y which was the darkest. This installment is the average quality of the story. Oh boy. I have to do a verbal dexterity on this, it's ridiculous.First of all, it's your opinion and you don't have to act mighty and disrespectful on that. Countering to your disagreement will not change my mind to hate it. Second of all, sure, the artstyle is a bit clunky and absurd on Ash, but the other characters from their artstyle is kinda beautiful and polished. The majority of the people who have watched this series have constantly send criticism over this artstyle crap which is getting really old fast. X Y's artstyle is beautiful, but Sun and Moon is just a slightly improvement. Third of all, the anime is not THAT great, but it's not that bad. Some of the elements are getting missing on the Anime which upsets me a bit, but I have to always search the good on it to not always hate on it. So are you trying to assume that this anime is ''Black and White 2.0'' to augmented the hate on it? Because if is, I don't want to hear it. That does make sense and I understand you. I probably overreacted a bit too much. Sorry if I came off as rude in my reply. to be honest, I dont think SMs art style in general is bad, but its just everyone else in SM but Ash looks good in it. But again, I apologize. But I still like other animes better than SM though.
