This is the only film out of them all that can qualify as a great standalone film. Despite it tying in excellently with the show, someone with no prior knowledge will not be lost, given the nature of this film's "timeline". The emotion, atmosphere, voice acting and action in this film are all top notch. This film is how I was introduced to the DBZ series and is in my opinion the best one.

Easily up there as one of the best DBZ movies of all time, everything about it is fantastic, the plot, the build-up and the dark theme of the film. It ranks up with likes of Bojack Unbound, BTLSS and BTFOG, also, it ties in with the events of the anime, I'd definitely recommend giving it a watch, especially DBZ fans.

Man Trunks going ssj at gohan was amazing I mean like Goku go ssj because krillin diedLater got revived by dragon balls but in trunks timeline everyone was dead by androids then gohan died and never got revived since piccolo's dead and kami's dead too dragon balls disappear.

Why is this so far down. It is the second best movie the first being Bardock. Both are tragic and have different plots then z fighters get beat up the z fighters get back up and beat the bad guy easily.
