Travis Johnson is the Founder and Senior Survival Skills Instructor for Northwest Survival School and has been perfecting his skills every day for well over 25 years. The natives that Travis would come into contact with from all around the world would give him much respect when they saw that his intentions were clear and his purpose was to inform people of the skills used for thousands of years by the people who knew best. Now, I have worked with my dear friend Travis for the past 6 years. Travis has taught me more then survival tactics and the ability to survive in various places that man would not want to be caught dead in. This survival expert should be number one on this list, Travis taught me that mother nature is more then just a place you can get lost in. His hippie inside him clings to the world protecting it as much as he can, But his mountain man part teachs you what it takes in case she decides to throw a curve ball. This guy should be number one. This man is the what is considered a expert simply because of his vast knowledge and skills. There is so much this man can do in survival skills that he demonstrates great practiced techniques and is a master of the arts of survival. It is recorded he has produced a hand drill fire in less then 45 secs. And produced bow drill fire in 4 secs. I would like to see anyone of these other people on this page do this!
