Seeing it as one of the most romantic stories ever is just plain wrong. The main characters basically ruined eachothers' and everyone else's lives because they both were too proud to make a confession or to try to get the situation fixed. Where's anything romantic in that? It has really good dark atmosphere though which makes it readable. - saaarsdej

I used to love this book in my teens. Was more sceptical about it while reading it (obligatory) during my English studies. Now, few more years later, I find this book rather boring and very naive.
