我是从波兰人的角度来写这本书的。这是我们在学校里必须读的书之一，每一位文学老师似乎都很喜欢这本书，而那些不把它视为杰作的少数人却遭到了抨击。不过，这本书有点讽刺，因为这本书基本上是在对批评戈姆布朗维奇早期作品的人说“给你”这是最受评论家和老师们称赞的一个。—萨阿尔斯代伊

I'm writing it from a Polish point of view. It's one of the books we have to read at school and every literature teacher seems to love it and the minority who doesn't see it as a masterpiece is getting bashed. It's a bit ironic though, because the book that was basically saying 'f you' to people who criticized Gombrowicz's earlier work and yet it's the one most praised by critics and teachers. - saaarsdej
