Cato is one of my favorite characters because I ship him and Clove. I mean sure he looks like a heartless bloodthirsty killer but his district taught him how to control his emotions. If you read the book when clove dies he pleads for her to stay with him. Showing that he has a heart. If you think about it the families and districts of the people killed by Katniss probably thought the same thing about her because she rarely showed her emotions. The only time she did was when Rue died and when she was with Peeta ( which most people thought it was an act).

Cato was absolutely amazing. Everyone says he was a ruthless, blood-craving beast that had no heart; but they were wrong. He had a heart, it's just that... His district taught him to show no affection; and that's how he was raised. We would be like that too if we were raised like that ALL our life. In the book, he ran to Clove's aid; sat there beside her until she died. It even says that his voice sounded pained and hurt when he heard her calling his name. He was determined, focused, and ready; not what you guys put him as. He should have won, think of it this way: All you life, you've trained for an event that comes once a year, and if you won, you'd get money, popularity, and more. ALL YOUR LIFE. Then, some girl who comes from another district ( never trained ) beats you at something you've worked for everyday since you were a kid. It hurts... I'm not going to lie. He should be first, how did a nameless tribute rank higher than him and Clove?

Cato. Yes, he was tough. He was a bad boy, a jerk, just a really bad boy. But he was amazingly well played in the movie. I'm not judging on if he was good or bad, because of course, he had no feelings for others. But his personality was so wonderful. I loved it when Glimmer was sleeping on his chest and he seemed very protective about her, and then the tracker jackers came and he just stood out and not even look back at his suffering 'friend'. Or when he was with Clove. He was just a great character; adding so much more intensity to the film.But he couldn't help it. He volunteered, because he had confidence in himself that he would win. He was trained his entire life, and he was determined. He was tough, rough, strong and powerful. I loved him that way. I didn't love that he had no feeling to others, but I loved his unique personality, it described him well.Anyways, Cato's cool.

I agree too! I love Cato because his a bad boy and I think he really had a heart. He lives still! He is the real victor of the hunger games. Team Cato! And also, why does everybody vote for Peeta? Cato is much more handsome than him, and I think the actor Alexander Ludwig is very good too. Love him, hate Josh Hutherson. Peeta is just dum. Please vote for Cato! I ain't saying I don't LIKE Katniss, she's great. ], but I'm gonna have to go with Cato here. He made a great villain, who was, in a way, not really even a bvillain at all. he was just an ordinary tribute with a well thought out game. He ha it in for zKatniss for quite sometime, and in the end she needed Peeta's help to beat him, as well as help from the Wolf0-Mutts, o a degree. That final fight with him was just so enjoyable, in the book AND in the movie. Kaatniss played the best game, since she was either by herself or with a single accomplice, (First Rue and then Peeta), and STILL perormed the best, although thresh was a lone Wolf too, but Cato was a great leader, and that's what got him so far, along with his amaing strength and skills. overall, my favprite antagonist in the trilogy. Should be higher. AT LEAST in the top ten! - HeavyDonkeyKong

Okay here we go... Cato is by far my favourite character because he was hardworking, and he was just raised that way. Look if Katniss was part of District 2 and Cato was District 12 everyone would hate Katniss because she would be raised to be 'evil'. In his own way, Cato was the hero, and Katniss was the villain. Cato just wanted to win, so his family could be well fed and respected. (My second fave is Snow, third Thresh, Finnick then Peet.)

He is amazing. He did have a heart, he stayed by Clove's side until she died, which is really cute. He was born and raised to be ruthless and cruel, but he still cared about Clove. If he had got to her in time, he would have saved her. Besides, his skills are amazing. Think about it, how many of you would stand a chance against Thresh? That's right, almost none.

Cato is AMAZING he was cool and strong plus he is hot. I like bad boys. Everyone hates the Bad guys and Cato saying"I hate Cato he is a jerk" think about he had no choice if you were raised like Cato you would volunteer and kill people. To:S. Cato is awesome, such a complex character. He defiantly is up there as one of my favorites. Though he was savage and ruthless, I see beyond that. Like the ever so famous example of him staying by cloves side while she died. He's just a great character, and was portrayed so extremely well in the movie. Love his actor
