I'm 110% Everlark, but Gale is not a bad character. I really liked his dynamic with Katniss in the first book, when they didn't have any romantic awkwardness between them. He's smart and tough and a great friend.

He was brave, strong and definitely caring but the reason why I stop disliking him is because whenever he needs katniss he used to show her the pain he is in and how much desperate he is. That is the most pathetic part of his character but yet he made the right choice when he volunteers to rescue peeta because deep down he knows that katniss is like her mother without peeta and that night talk with peeta, proves that in the end he was ready to finally let katniss to follow her heart but yet that prims death and all was disturbing and that's make him more hated, which is not all his fault but saying that katniss choose peeta by default because gale wasn't there you should think thrice because in every view katniss was always been in love with peeta from the very first hunger games but yet could not do anything about this because of gale desperation and making her feel guilt, that's why I still hate him

Gale is the best character, he tries his best on everything but katniss never accepts him, I believe that Katniss shouldn't have gotten so mad at Gale because if she was in charge of blowing up the capital kids and didn't know prom was there she would have done the same. Gale deserves so much better than katniss she goes around kissing Peeta then Gale she, in my personal opinion kattniss should be the worst character and Gale should be one or two, I think Finic is also a great character and I love him equally as Gale but I think Gale deserves more respect then he gets because Katniss treats him poorly even though he helps prim so much and tries so hard. I think people should stop hating on Gail because he would never purposely kill Prim he is like and older brother to her.
