I think Rachel Berry is an over privileged, selfish, ignorant, annoying, over dramatic, undeserving, and all around horrible person. Her voice is sub-par at best and she stays in the spotlight way to much, when there are so many with better talent than her in the show. Watching Glee I've seen practically everything handed to Rachel Berry on a silver plater when she has no talent. Frankly I cheered when she failed in the beginning of season six, even if it was short lived. Her character in my opinion is unrealistic, to much was handed to her and she never grew up. To be blunt, I would never have called the show Glee, I would have called the Rachel Berry show or Rachel Berry and the back ups, because it's not really about the club, it's mostly about an attention seeking girl who in my eyes has no talent, gets everything handed to her, and if she doesn't like something or it doesn't go exactly her way, she throws a hissy fit and breaks up friendships. You guys say you hate her character, but that's because you don't understand her character. I love Rachel, she's my favorite character because I can relate to her so much. I got bullied for most of my life, but the only thing they didn't have on me was that I could sing. So I joined choir and I took every single solo that they threw out there. My confidence was in my performance, not my social life. And it felt amazing. Rachel said once (which is true for me) "I would rather be a star than be liked. And I'm not saying that's healthy or the way to go, but there's nothing that I wouldn't do for the chance to be in the spot light." I thought the exact same way. I honestly have got to the point (Season 5! ) where I can't bear to watch her any longer. She is one of the most selfish characters I've ever seen and is literally only happy when she gets what she wants and is on top. Why do the writers of the show love her so much and give her all the solos and good breaks and she always wins? Even when she is knocked down a peg or two (thank you Santana! ) it only ever lasts for a few minutes or an episode at most. She is just totally unbearable. Kurt, Mercedes, Santana and even Britney are just so much more talented. Britney is the most amazing dancer, Rachel is just average at best. Why is she always in the spotlight? She just likes to throw a few crumbs to her friends, but is never really pleased for them unless she has something even better in hand. Quinn's character development was just so much more interesting, I'd have much preferred to see more focus on her. Or Santana. Or Kurt. Or Britney. Or Mercedes. Or just about anyone.

I think Rachel is selfish, arrogant, extremely annoying and a drama queen. When people did not benefit her schemes and dreams, she was ready to drag them down and manipulate them, such as when Finn wanted to join the football team again in season 2 but she wanted him to drop it for glee club so she could feel socially equal to him. She also did not accept that Finn's dream differed from what she wanted for him, and eventually cheated on him in New York with Brody. Rachel selfishly spilled the truth about who the father of Quinn's baby was so Finn would break up with her and date Rachel, even though it was not her business and Quinn would maybe have told Finn eventually anyway. Rachel also threatened to quit and acted bratty when she was not given EVERY single solo. The character of Rachel was loved too much by the producers and directors. I honestly think that Rachel Berry is given too much screen time. Also, she is so self-centered and annoying. She treated Kurt like a peasant and when Santana auditioned for the understudy, she got mad. Then, in the choir room when everyone came back because Glee Club was ending and Santana had her outburst, she told Santana that she was better. Then she went crying in the bathroom. Honestly, she craves attention. I may sound insensitive but Rachel Berry annoys me so much. She thinks she is the best and whenever something is given to someone else, she complains so much about it. Her voice is good but a little too much auto tuned and too squeaky. Amber Riley did all of her performances live and she is AMAZING in all of her songs. In all, Rachel Berry can be pretty when she is singing her songs but her personality isn't the best.

Rachel never actually fought to get anything. Everything was just handed to her just because of her natural talent. She had a failed audition but got into her dream school anyway. She was handed a lead role in a Broadway musical when she was just a sophomore in college. Everything just came to her life so easily and you would think that this would make her happy and grateful, but no! She was never satisfied with what she got, she always wanted more. She got to play her dream character in a real Broadway stage when she was like 19 years old and she quit just so she could star in some random sitcom she was offered. She was always selfish and treated her friends awfully. I was surprised she even had friends after the way she treated everybody.

I hate how Rachel Berry gets all the attention when the character is just an average singer who can't even dance and is, yet, still in the spotlight ALL THE TIME! I know some people may think differently, but to me she is just a selfish brat who doesn't deserve anything she has. SO many other people are as, if not even more, talented than she will ever be. For example, about EVERY OTHER GLEE CLUB CHARACTER! I really wish that the writers would focus more on other characters than just Rachel, and if they do focus on her, then at least have her grow up and work for everything she has instead of just handing it to her, cause it is quit annoying having her get everything she wants without working for it.

Rachel's personality is abrasive. She cares very little about anything but herself, She thinks that she is a better PERSON than she is. Yes she has a good voice but her character constantly "rises above" by stepping on others. I just can't get behind that..She claims to look out for the interests of her team but she is constantly swirling drama everywhere, hogging the spotlight and walking away when she doesn't get her way. The only positive thing about her that I can find is that her character went through some character development and by season 6 she was (almost) tolerable. To be clear though, I don't know like anything about Lea Michelle so I have no opinion on her personally.

Rachel is one of the moat overrated character in all of Glee history. She has done some of the most selfish things to the people she calls her "friends" or "team" when really she would cut their throats if if meant getting a solo or any other chance in the spotlight. The fact is that there are other prettier and more talented glee club members yet the show solely focuses on her annoying, bratty, self-absorbed ambition to rise to the top. She lied about Sandy Ryerson out of jealousy, quit the glee club to join "Cabaret" because Tina was given a solo instead of her, and then covered her mouth with tape because she was not automatically given every solo. Going back on how there are more talented glee club members as Rachel's voice lacks a full and deep quality in her belts. Listening to Tina's part in "More than a Feeling" it's hard not get a chill up your spine after hearing that burst of angelic sound or with Santana's version of "Don't Rain ... more

Rachel thinks that the glee club needs her more than anything. She does not deserve the solos she gets. She bosses everyone around and acts like she owns the glee club she is talentless and pathetic. Rachel is an idiot. She told everyone to take one for the team, but last time I checked it was Sugar Motta who provided the money for nationals. She never did anything for the glee club. All she ever wanted to do was talk about herself and did not care about anything other people were going through. She deserved that slushie that was tossed in her face by Becky in season 6. She is a lima loser and that is all she is ever going to be.
