The funny thing is Scar's role in the movie. He ends up acting like Maleficent or Ratigan, where it seems like all the other characters know he evil, but he is written like Jafar. It makes the characters seem like idiots when they trust him after two situations, one where he eats Zazu and one where he is revealed to be lying for years. Plus, he's the only villain that tells the heroes the true intentions he has. Others are revealed through their actions, or because the characters add two and two together. Scar tells the others that he murdered Mufasa.

It get annoying when you keep hearing SCAR IS THE BEST DISNEY VILLAIN EVER. The reasons he is number one though is when he finally gets his power he acts like a child but people keep saying he's the best villain ever. by the way he isn't a bad villain. - YakkoWakkoDot

Im just sick of people saying that Scar is the best or the scariest or most evil of all Disney Villains. Hes cool, but Chernabog is more powerful, scarier, and the most evil that any others. Plus he killed souls of dead children and tortures some on Bald Mountain. THATS WAY EVILER THAN SCAR! Or any others. So yeah, Scar should be placed on Number 1, because hes been used overhyped by many people. - asantalo
