Rock has the abillity to stay fresh. Pop ( and certainly today's pop ), rap, RB, Techno etc... are just popular forms ( pop is the short term of popular ) which means that they are popular for a moment and for a certain time. When you hear after ten years a pop song it sounds old and it's boring. It has more to do with nostalgia than being fresh sounding when you hear a ten year old pop song on the radio. Rock on the other hand can sound as fresh as when it came first out.

YES!It's true it never gets old.rock fans could listen 50 years rock songs but pop music fans hardly could listen 10 years old songsI still listen jailhouse rock.stairway to heaven or highway star but many friends of mine can't listen Michael jackson's songs.Yesterday they used to say "Justin Bieber is great",today they say Justin biber is foul but one direction is great. tomorrow they will say one direction is worst. - zxm
