With four locations and many, many members, it would be easy to lose the sense of community that draws people into CrossFit and keeps them coming back. The coaches and members at this box (these boxes) put their heart and soul into creating a tight-knit community and ensuring each member is engaged in it. The programming is diverse and allows elite athletes to push themselves in special clinics and competition programs while allowing beginners to learn and grow at a safe, comfortable pace. The coaches are awesome at teaching and stressing proper form and range-of-motion on every rep of every set.

With up to a dozen classes a day at each location there's always a class that fits my life schedule. Other commenters have captured the supportive and knowledgeable nature of the coaching and community but it goes well beyond that. Northwest CrossFit has an event staff that constantly comes up with fun and engaging events outside the box that include friendly competitions, specialty clinics, health and nutrition seminars and activities like scavenger hunts. It's a great community and a great box. I'm in, for life.

I'm a longtime Mainsite WOD guy who only recently (about 3 months ago) joined a box. I've got friends who directed me to NWCF for the coaching, collaborative atmosphere and add-on services (like nutrition coaching from a certified dietician who specializes in Paleo). I'm pleased to report that every expectation that I had has been exceeded - I've found a good community at their Green Lake gym, have made leaps and bounds in physical improvements, and have gotten to know some of the most truly excellent coaches in the field. I'm planning on being a long-time member of this box.

As a newbie to the CF phenom. I couldn't have asked for a better setting to start my journey. From the coaches to my classmates, I always feel encouraged and capable. As a consistent last place finisher I get my strength from the people and my newly strengthened body. On more than one occasion, coaches have asked me to stay after class to talk about form or my progress and have even reached out via email to encourage me and congratulate me for keeping with it. NWCF is top notch when it comes to knowledge, skill, service, and passion.

The coaches really care about the members and their safety. They engaged during the wod's walking around checking members forms. If you can't do a movement they give you ways to build up to that movement and you don't feel embarrassed to modify a movement. With the rotation of coaches creating the wod's you get a different flavor of workouts keeping your body challenged.
