Every decade before the 2010s were bad. The 2000s had 9/11 and the middle eastern wars e.g. Iraq. The 1990s had the fall of Yugoslavia. The 1980s had a brutal part of the Cold War. The 1970s had the Oil Crisis. The 1960s had the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam War. The 1950s had the Korean War and was the dawn of the Cold War. The 1940s had WW2 and the 1930s had the lead up to it. The 1920s had the Great Depression and the 1910s had WW1. Before that, the life expectancy was really low. So, unless that Area 51 thing happens, the 2010s is the best decade.
