Pre Errata, you could use it's effect the turn it is summoned. So basicly, you search and summon this, get a bunch of graveyard effects and just win.

Most broken card ever, this one is the reason of the banish list, when you or your opponent had the combo chaos emperor- yata garasu it was pretty much a game over, but better than exodia cus if your opponent survives the first blow you still have a huge advantage on the field
