This is, overall, the best Halo game out there. Everyone may say Halo: CE and Halo 2 are better because they're the ones that made Halo what it is, but I'll say this: Halo: Reach has the best multiplayer in the whole franchise. I remember when I was little, I played this game just about every day, and I eventually stopped at Field Marshall. That was only because Halo 4 came out. When Halo 4 came out, there was nobody on Reach... For a few months. Eventually, people started migrating back to Reach because it's the superior game. You can still find thousands of people playing Reach, even though it's around 6 years old! Halo: Reach is definitely the high point of the Halo franchise. Halo Reach was a great break from the redundant story of the bombastic Master Chief in his rut of UNSC vs Covenant vs Forerunners. Brilliant online multiplayer, forge, infection, and firefight game modes. You can download awesome game modes created on forge, and have tons of fun without even having to shoot anyone. Assassinations were a genius innovation, and the campaign is a total shake-up from the original Halos. A great prelude to some considerably less good games, and quite possibly the greatest thank-you game of all time (it was created by Bungie as a thanks to its millions of fans). I'm so glad there was so much more customization options and characters, rather than focusing on one spartan the entire time, there was a team of six, each with a distinct personality and skill. Easily the best Halo game ever made.

I grew up playing halo 3 in middle school, but halo reach hit it home for me with the music, the envoirment and accessibility. The missions with your teammates were a blast, truly heartbreaking deaths of noble team. The ARMOR CUSTOMIZATION. The multiplayer remains kick ass. And last of all, it had the most coolest and memorable halo mission, "The Pillar Of Autumn." Truly the best ending scenes in halo history with a nice final touch as you survive horses of covenant stragglers til your death. And how can we forget that awesome MAC cannon! Halo reach is the best halo by far.

Jumping onto the Halo bandwagon recently, I have finished all but ODST's, as that got me bored. Reach is undoubtedly the best Halo game ever created, as it has such diversity and is so in depth, with no plot holes. You are gripped until the end, and the game plays with your mind with so many parts of the game. It has the best campaign, and the second best multiplayer, second only to Halo 5. Halo Reach has something the other Halos never gave you, and that is the emotional immersion into the game.
This is the best halo game. Sure, halo 4 is getting Evermore popular and Halo 3 was still VERY Good, This game has it all; Graphics, Weapons, Music, and Atmosphere. The entire series suggests the covenant is Unbeatable, And halo reach fulfilled this depiction. Worlds shattered all around you and Even the main characters, Insanely powerful SPARTANs die, including ==============SPOILERS=================== Your own. I Loved the original games and the new ones are okay, but Halo Reach tops all by a Landslide in my opinion.

Halo Reach had those Six sense roundhouse kicking elites,had the most toughest enemies except the brutes,brutes were easy. Grunts, Jackels (Skirmishers not the regulars ones, the regular ones were fine), elites, hunters, were just killing me left and right. The hard part about halo reach is when you don't have a plasma pistol and a headshot capable weapon, you would pretty much get harassed. Elites also dodge your plasma shots even when they are turned around. Elites also are more frequently found in higher ranks, rarely you will find an elite minor.

While I do prefer halo 3 to reach, reach has one of the greatest multiplayers out there, great maps, epic vehicles, and intense battles with an impressive amount of modes. But even better is forge on forge world, the Xbox version of gmod allowing you to creat your own maps and, if the requirements are met, you can play them on any mode with your friends or even creat new ones, for example me and my friends set the oddball score to win so you only need one ball, and created a obstacle coarse/race. The campaign is pretty good to, but 3's was better, but multiplayer wise, reach dominates.

Deserves to be the at bottom of the list. Gameplay is so repetitive and the too much Call of Duty feels make it feel like Call of Duty rather than halo. Not that Call of Duty is bad, it just offends me that halo is excluding the true halo feel that I expect in every halo game. God, long night of solace was a nightmare, when I think that the Sabre ride was going to be a good memorable experience, it got so bland, repetitive and long. General gameplay in this game was plain as paper.

This is the best halo game that was ever made. Lets face it, 343 copy and pasted this to H4 and just added a sad ending and master cheif. Think about what halo 4 would be like if they copy and pasted it from halo 3 or odst. It probably would not have a sprint, an aromory, or probably even a forge, which would have been disapointing. I know that this game didn't have cheif in it, but I could care less about a green killing machine that never speaks (except for in h4). The fact that I could design a spartin that I could take it into campaign and rank up like in multiplayer was epic. I hate to sound negitive but I am just stating the facts... Like some lumber jacks.

This game has the most varied combat (space battles! ), some of the best multiplayer maps (both new and greatest hits), the best post-credits sequence (a level, not a cutscene! ), and Firefight 2.0, which exceeds the original in every way. Fighting through campaign with your own personal Spartan is awesome. Halo 4 had to take some things out (i.E. campaign scoring, theater); this is the only game where it feels like nothing is missing (except MC of course).
