He's not enough loved even if in my mind, he's the best villain simply because I did all of what it is said here. He's intelligent and quiet, he know how manipulate others and is the only one villain I know of all game I played who killed so many friends of the heros! ! And more, I know it exist a novel about the history in FF2 (called Final Fantasy II Muma no Meiky奴) who give better approach of this character gicing more credibility than lot of villains of FF

The emperor killed 4 of your party members (Ricard sacrificed himself a poor horrible death by his hands). Turned firion's best friend/brother ( firion was adopted) against you for most of game, which emotionally crushed them all. Basically almost killed every single person in the world. Ruled both hell and heaven! What more could you ask for? Loved this game.

Personally I think it's the best villain because he has a GREAT STYLE of armour, very good quotes on final fantasy Dissidia, and very awesome attacks. He is an EMPEROR. He is awesome! :D And he is very evil. He also planned the operation to kill cosmos in dissidia. So, why not! FINAL FANTASY II ftw! He destroyed cities and everything!

He's so powerful, that he conquered Heaven and Hell. And that was AFTER you killed him. That's right, he's so badass that he took control over the ENTIRE AFTERLIFE, and death was only an inconvenince to him

FF2 is mostly hated by the Final Fantasy community. I can see why, but that has not stopped me from picking the Emperor as my choice. Why did I vote for the Emperor? Well, there are a number of reasons why. He basically takes over the whole world in the beginning of the game. He bombs and levels towns with an airship and a cyclone. He summons demons from hell to do his bidding. The Emperor kills FOUR members of your party. More than any other villain in the Final Fantasy series. Oh, you just gave your most powerful weapon to _______? Spent lots of hours grinding to level up ________? TOO BAD, HE'S DEAD NOW. THEY ALL DIED BECAUSE OF THE EMPEROR. This man is both unforgiving and relentless. After he dies, he takes over hell AND heaven. He raises up the castle of hell, and boy... it's freakin' hell. The level gap is extraordinary, ESPECIALLY in Soul of Rebirth. At times, you have to spend HOURS grinding your party in order to have them stand a chance against the ... more
