The best game in the series. Aqua, Ven and Terra, at least to me, are a better trio than Sora/Riku/Kairi and Axel/Roxas/Xion because of a multitude of reasons, the most important being they ALL played a crucial role in the story itself. The story was amazingly powerful and moving for a non numbered game and brought many emotions to the surface, be it joy, sadness or the feeling of helplessness. I myself cried in multiple points during the narrative, especially during Aquas story and the Last Episode. The two main antagonists are amazing and well crafted, Xehanort portraying the perfect puppet master while Vanitas acts as the somewhat unbalanced enforcer. The gameplay is better than every other game in the series by far and flows perfectly. I just... This game is amazing and deserves the top spot.

I don't care what anyone says. For me, this game IS KH3. In the same way that Metal Gear Solid 3 was a prequel. For me, this was the best experience I'd had in the WHOLE series. All 4 campaigns had GREAT pacing, and surprisingly all felt like fresh experiences. The mirage arena is a greatly developed multiplayer mode, and I can't wait for it to make it's debue on the PS3! The only problem I have with this game are a few story retcons concerning the Mysterious Tower (seriously, if Donald and Goofy are here now, how come Donald acts so surprised when he finds out Yen Sid lives here in KH2? ). But that's it for problems. This game is AWESOME, and I can't wait to play it on the PS3 later this year!

Shame it was on psp, cause this game easily had the most interesting story, characters and environments, amazing soundtrack, insane graphics for a mobile game, and totally balanced gameplay that was a blast in multiplayer too. The single player campaign is stuffed with secrets and hidden endings and the like that keeps you going for hours. And you don't have to know anything about the previous games to get into it.

My first game was 3582 and I sayed Hmm, really nice. Then I've played KH2 and I thought: WOW, thos was really cool. And when I became my PSP and KH BBS my opinion was: WHAT THE HELL! The gameplay was so extrem, really better then the second part. The idea of the three storys, WOW. I had loved it in my (till this second) favorite game Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. And Kingdom Hearts 2 is so awesome, but it wasnt a challenge. But this was a challenge for me. Not really extrem hard, but a challenge (but I'm a really good gamer, I have all emblems in my favorite game SA2B). Till this second in my opinion the 6th best game and my 2nd favorite game after (and I say it a third time) Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I love it. AWESOME.

This game is definitely the best story out of all the games. I think a lot of people like it because it's a lot darker than the rest, and it doesn't necessarily have the happy ending we're used to in KH games. It really leaves the player hoping to see the characters in this story come back somehow. Whether they create a new game about these guys only, or they appear in KH3, the fans want to see them again

Birth by Sleep is one of my most favorite top 3 games in the series. I'm happy that they had a leading female playable protagonist in the game, and the inclusion of princesses worlds made it all worth while due to the series' timeline. The gameplay is my most favorite (so far from the series) which utilize the Command Deck, Styles, Board and everything else in between. I'm looking forward to KH HD 2.5 as they include one of my top 3 KH games (including KH2)!

I feel like this is the best kingdom hearts game cause from every other one they had a "happy ending". In this game it was very dark and felt like a great prequel to the series. The only problems that the game kinda slow story and doesn't really get good to the end.

This is the Majora's mask to kingdom hearts and it's in my top ten favorite games of all time. The story was excellent and heartbreaking. The gameplay was great the graphics are top quality graphics.

Many older fans of Kingdom Hearts used to complain the franchise was really easy. Birth By Sleep ignores that tradition, and has the best combat system and a surprisingly dark story.

I think this game is the best because of it's maturity, by far the best villain, and three of the most deeply moving stories that Kingdom Hearts has offered!
