I am from the UK and think that Evanescence would be perfect for the ceremony because they have won 2 Grammy Awards, and they have most recently played at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert 2011 - so they can definitely entertain huge crowds around the globe.Their music is about believing in yourself, following your dreams and hoping towards a better and brighter future, so their message would fit in well with the theme of the Olympic games.They have millions of fans all around the world; so many people would be excited to see them play.Their music is beautiful, melodic and unique and so would be different from most other pop acts in the charts at the moment.I'm sure they would be honoured to play at the Olympic games in 2012 - seeing as they have tons more music from their brand new album to play!

It would be such an honor for Evanescence to perform at the Olympics. They are an amazing (and extremely underapprecited) band and it would be perfect for them to play there. Their lyrics are original and heart-felt (they sing about feelings and moments that everyone can relate to, not drinking, partying, an sex), their lead singer is amazing (and gorgeous! ), and the band simply sounds perfect. Plus, it's something different: for once it's not another pretty made-up face set on looking different and singing about trashy, unrealistic things; Amy Lee is a real rock woman that cares about not just her fans and being real, but important issues such as Sex Trafficking and Epilepsy. She's a perfect role model. We are some of the most dedicated fans all over the world, and would love it if Evanescence could perform at the Olympics.
