The lyrics actually seem as basic and repetitive than most modern pop songs (and definitely much more so than The Beatles' other songs). The phrase "I want to hold your hand" is repeated 11 times, and the phrase ". I haven't actually listened to this (or at least I don't remember hearing this), so the actual song probably makes up for that. I would prefer Here Comes The Sun and Come Together to this though. Take this as a Beatles fan (not an annoying one though). - allamassal
