Spongebob Squarepants, without a doubt, is the best children's cartoon. This show is my entire childhood and brings me pure joy. The only bad part is the later seasons where the episodes have a lot of gross out humor and less plot, but that doesn't mean some of the later episodes were all bad. Overall, this is the best kid's show and even entertains adults.

SpongeBob seasons 1-4 are really great and yea the whole family can watch. But after season four don't even watch it those seasons shouldn't even count. In my opinion SpongeBob only ran for four seasons. Counting seasons 1-4 I would put it at three or four on my personal list behind avatar the last airbender and scooby doo and depending on the day tom and jerry. It's a show that I really really enjoyed as a kid and it's really funny and entertaining. If I had to give a negative of it is that it's a better generic kids show. What I mean by that is the jokes are almost always better than other kids shows a lot of the episodes are incredibly well written and creative. However, think of the template kids show and you are getting a much higher quality version of it. It's like the Big Bang theory the show is great but it's a template sitcom not widely different in structure and often content than how I met your mother, 2.5 men, friends, etc. avatar is different and scooby doo/ tom and Jerry ... more

My favorite character is Spongebob cause, most of the time, he acts like my stupid brother. He is so anoying. He broke my cell phone!

Spongebob was my favorite T.V. show when I was 5, and 7 years later, It still is. Sure, the older episodes are funnier than the newer ones, but you still get a good laugh in all of the episodes. I mean like, how can somebody not like this show? Well yea, its pretty stupid and has no storyline, but that's what makes it funny. Because of the randomness in the episodes, you can just surf through all the episodes and watch whichever one you want and not have to worry about missing out on something. I would recommend this to anyone who loves comedy cartoons.

This show should win a grammy on its own to be honest, but the best seasons are only 1-4, the others aren't as good, I would only bother if you love to just binge watch shows non stop like me. Its awesome because the whole family can watch not just the kids. This is truly one of the best shows ever, not just inside nickelodeon. Bare in mind though, I'm speaking about ages; 4-11. The whole show is child friendly too, might as well let babies watch it too..

A lot of people say that SpongeBob's overall quality has declined since the 2004 movie, and brought in episodes like "One coarse meal" and "A pal for gary". However, the show released an amazing sequel to the movie in 2015 called "Sponge out of water". Since that movie, the 9th season's quality is very much improving. SpongeBob's older seasons may be better, but the post movie episodes will never change my feelings about this amazing show.
