Not as deadly as other disasters, but the suspense is what really gets you. The whole sky turns dark, things get eerily silent then the tornado makes the eeriest of noise. Then a black funnel of death materializes slowly approaches you. You can suffocate, get crushed by debris, get trapped or even get sucked up tossed to your death. There can be hundreds of them at a time, some even enormous EF5 tornadoes, with the destructive capacity to eat your entire house. And there is very little warning before they appear.

Personally, I believe tornados are the scariest. Things like tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanoes, you can all PREDICT them weeks or even months ahead of time. You can escape. Sure, you may lose your house, or your car, but at least you are ALIVE (assuming you heeded the warning). But with tornadoes? Nope. it just appears. You try to get out, all roads are blocked by maniacs trying to leave. It's scary as hell.

Someone did survive a tornado by hanging on to a fence but most of the time, if you are within distance of a tornado and not inside in the basement or windowless shelter, then you will probably be swept off your feet. I personally think tornados are the scariest since I live in a state where lots of tornados happen. You can predict them and there are sirens to alert you and the news but its still scary. The strange thing about a tornado is that they move in a very odd pattern. If you live in a suburban neigborhood, then the house next to you could be destroyed into thousands of pieces and then the house in front of yours would get destroyed and then the house on the other side of yours could get destoryed. Ive seen News casts of neighborhoods that have had this occurance. Never underestimate a tornado because even if it was an F1, it could quickly develop into something much worse. Tornadoes are terrifying. Just imagine being in your house, when all of a sudden you hear the Tornado Sirens start going off. You go outside and see a huge funnel wiping out everything in it's past. These things can last from 1 minute to 1 hour, destroying everything and everyone in its path.

Now, you can predict most of this stuff. But TORNADOES on the other hand, you can't. They appear out of absolutly no where, and can be 2 miles wide! It's a 25% chance you'll live, and 75% chance you'll get hurt or DIE. Tornadoes can be on the ground for a MINUTE and destroy everything! Tornadoes by far are the scariest!
