This is an amazing novel. While some things portray suicide in a way that is unrealistic, this book felt real. All of the reasons why are reasons a person would be driven to this, and I like how Clay rarely confronts anyone about the tapes. What I don't like is the ending that was going to be put into the book and was put into the 10th anniversary edition, because it sucked out all of the emotion and realism for a Disneyfied ending that was about as realistic as a dragon flying over Jupiter with butterfly wings. Okay, it was more realistic than that, but still. Also, I've recently seen the trailer for the Netflix series coming out, and I'm worried it will just go the melodramatic route with no sense of realism. I hope I will be wrong, but either way, it can't damage this phenomenal book. - Elric-san

This book, if nothing else, is real. It takes you through the story of a girl, but also the story of a boy. In my opinion, reading a boy hear a dead girl explain why she killed herself was amazing, if not scary or intense. I think it's a question asked around in many heads: "What would people think if I was gone? " or "What would their reactions be? "Overall a great book, which definitely deserves to be higher on the list.
