Harry Potter is far better than the most part of the Young Adult novels that we see around today. It has romance, mystery, action, suspense, and a great deal of lessons people of all ages could learn. It teaches us at the same time it entertains us and it's really a fantastic story. Personally, growing up with the series, it means a lot to me and it's one of those stories that never gets old. It's something you can read a million times and always discover something new. The best proof you can have of how good a series it is and the impact it's had is in the fandom. And let me just say, Harry Potter is more than a hell of an experience.

This series is my life! I don't (and never will) love a book more than Harry Potter. I can read the books over and over again, and burst out laughing each time Fred and George say something funny, and I cry each time Dobby, or someone else dies. Harry Potter is the best, I'm serious. I also like Twilight, Divergent and the Hunger Games, but honestly, they can't compare to Harry Potter. Most of my friends think I'm crazy, or that I'm exaggerating, but seriously, I'm not. I sometimes am depressive because I don't live in the world of Harry Potter. I want to go to Hogwarts, learn how to control magic, fight against Voldemort's army, be in Dumbledore's Army, etc. I also want to thank J.K. Reading this series is one of the best things that I have ever done. No other series of my lifetime has and probably ever will surpass the Harry Potter series. I feel like everything else that we love today has copied the Harry Potter series. We all know and love the stories of the Twilight Saga and Mortal Instruments, but seriously in some parts it seems like the author wasn't even aiming for originality when they wrote the plot or created the characters. But we know that J.K. Rowling wrote from her heart. I read her books knowing that in my hands I hold a horcrux because like Voldemort put a part of his soul in the seven objects, the author put a part of her soul in each book.

The Harry Potter series is a timeless book that teaches everyone about the age old battle of good versus evil, trying to do the right thing in the face of adversity, and just how to be a good person. I feel like that Hunger Games and Twilight are good, but in all honesty, I don't think they compare. Twilight preaches the importance of a boyfrined. I mean, Bella has almost no social connections other than Edward (her boyfriend who was admittedly more than a little stalkerish) and Jacob (the boy who 'loved' her, but imprinted on her newborn daughter less than two months after she 'broke his heart' and got married). That is just unhealthy to have no connections outside of your boyfriend, your boyfriend's family, and a guy who loves you. Hunger Games is admittedly better, but the end resolution ruined the series for me, there was a lot of unfinished business! This. Is. My. LifeI'm am glad that this is above twilight! I could write a love story better than twilight and I'm 15 and can't write at all! It's a miracle that Harry Potter is below Twilight. I mean, sure not all people might like it, but really? Twilight? I mean seriously people. Harry Potter speaks of courage, friendship, sacrifice, the hardships of living in a world filled with war. You don't know what will happen the next day and you fear you might lose the war and become killed because you're muggleborn. Twilight is about the importance of having a boyfriend and how a girl will be totally helpless without her boyfriend. Sexist much? I think so.

Harry Potter would probably be a horrible book to analyze throughoutly, as one would never be able to finish. The entire magical world of Harry Potter is so developed one could mistake it for something out of real life. It touches so many aspects of life that anyone would be able to relate to it.It has changed my life and participated so much in my childhood that I can truly say I cannot imagine a life without Harry Potter as my imaginary companion.

Reading HP is a wonderful and rewarding experience. There's so much to learn from it, and so many interesting little details that JKR integrated into the characters, story, and setting (such as the meaning of the name "Dolores"), that it only gets better every time you go back through the series. HP teaches us all the different ways to love, and how truly powerful love is. Few series can claim the same achievement, whatever their genre.

Hunger Games has so many shallow characters. In HP you love EVERYONE. And the story is just so much more enthralling. In THG, it just kind of relies on the game (except for Mockingjay, and that book was LAUGHABLY bad). Hunger Games is unoriginal, uninspired garbage whereas the HP series is incredibly heartwarming and inspiring. You really feel as though you grow up with Harry! That's what makes a good book - attachment to your characters. Please don't get me started with Twilight.
