He was in my opinion greatest black man of new ages because he has done so much for his nation that no other black man has ever done. He sacrificed his own ego and kept his race and country at first instead of his own revenge, which made his country so powerful and united. Anyone who reads the book or sees the movie, "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" would understand that he is much more influential than Martin Luther King. He changed the way white people looked at black people and forgave the whites even after torchering him and putting him in prison for 27 yrs. He is a true inspiration This man was a true genius, he fought for peace and remains in the heart of not only Africans but people all around the world. Michael Jackson inspired pop artists not precisely African Americans. He's only being voted at the top because of sympathy votes. Many don't know of Nelson Mandela but they should be more aware of him because he is a genius who actions stopped the harm of many, he is like the South African MLK Jr. But unlike MLK he endured 27 YEARS of imprisonment... And unlike MJ his action influce all peacekeepers.
