Tom Hanks has always been, in my opinion, one of the all time greatest actors of his time. He's an incredible example of talent, inspiration, and heart. Tom, and Robin Williams - will forever be, and always have been - two people in the Hollywood light, that I have undoubtedly always carried a massive amount of genuine respect for. They're so much more than extraordinary actors - they're extraordinary men - and that is what shines through and makes them the greatest actors of their generation(s)

My favourite actor of all time. The greatest human being who ever became a great actor. There is no way that Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and The Terminal would have been so loved if not for Tom. Those and other movies were so believable only because Tom is such a great person and so beloved. And to top it off his performance in Philadelphia was one of the most moving and poignant portrayals ever. I'll never forget when I saw Philadelphia and there was not a dry eye in the entire theatre at the end.
