Without this series... They never would have made it. If they had've been picked up in the 1980s when at first Saban tried it would have been a huge fail. MMPR finally aired in '93 and BOOM! Success! Ever since the franchise has been through ups and downs but this was it's highest point with only Zeo and In Space coming closest. It's called "MIGHTY" Morphin' Power Rangers for a reason. MMPR #1!

The first in the series build itself on the chemistry of the Rangers, the bullies were memorable, and the zords (despite the blatant merchandising) just fit the tone of Mighty Morphing, setting up standards for other series to follow. But that doesn't mean it was flawless. The choreography is just a cheap theatre stunt, the villains aren't that interesting and dumb as blondes, and the replacements (while understandable) just were okay. Still, I love the simplicity!

MMPR is the best of all the Power Rangers series. Tommy is the single best plot-driven character; particularly as the Green Ranger, but also as the White Ranger. He is the most psychologically compelling character with the best story progression and if that ain't enough, he has his own themes in both guises (Go Green Ranger Go and White Ranger Tiger Power). Best ranger series no doubt, one of the best cast ever, Tommy best ranger of all time, Kimberly the best pink ranger ever, jason and Rocky the 2 best red rangers, Billy, Zordon, Alpha 5 and the hilarious bulk and skull which make this series the best power rangers series of all time and I cannot see any other ranger series better than this.
