This mg was designed 80 years ago. It is still probably the best of medium machine guns. Its cyclic rate of fire is probably the highest of all heavily produced medium MG's. I think the mg42 is way more better then the minigun because the minigun shoots more faster then the 42 but the 42 has a bigger caliber and minigun is heavy and you can't aim with it but the 42 is lighter and it has iron sights. Why is this gun at 16? This gun defined the General Purpose Machine gun concept. There was a reason the allies borrowed features of this gun in later designs... It should be in the top 5 for sure
