I can't decide between "The Pretender" and "Best of You" for this spot on the list so I just put "The Pretender" first. Personally the there is a tie between the two. This is a more hard rock song that starts out slow, quiet, and amazing. Then suddenly turns into a rock anthem with the hardcore power chords at the perfect times. Then it briefly goes back to the beginning sound and builds up the awesomeness of the next rocking refrain that finishes it up.

I didn't know about this band until I heard it in my music class and since then I have loved this song. The Foo Fighters have managed to make a great song without using dirty words which seems like such an achievement in today's standards.

Gets me every time! It calls out the adrenaline in my body. Never gets old. It may be their most corniest song from their catalog but nevertheless I ate it up the same. Possibly this song introduced me to this awe-inspiring magnificence that is this band.
