What was the moral of this episode again? Oh right, encourage someone to do something that makes them happy even if that something is making everyone else miserable. Also, Pinkie has never overreacted to this degree! She's never actually started to lose her color! This is so stupid and makes Pinkie look really selfish. The only saving grace this episode had was the scene where the main 6 minus Pinkie ask Maud where Pinkie went, but even then the episode is still the worst I can think of off the top of my head.

Anypony else wanna know how writers Mike and Wil Fox thought making Pinkie extremely OOC by giving her an instrument with a bizarre name - and make her so horrible at playing it that it would practically make everypony's ears bleed no less was a good idea? (And WHY the heck would she go all COLORLESS like when Discord corrupted her in the Season 2 Premiere WHEN SHE'S CONSIDERED HORRIBLE AT PLAYING IT? ) There's just no excuse to make this broken piece of trash based on how terrible Pinkie was here, and it definitely deserves every last bit of hatred it gets. - TylertheTitan

The Yaks don't like it, because they never like anything new and different from their traditions. Now Pinkie desperately tries to show the conservative Yaks that music can build bridges by showing them that their instrument is capable of bringing joy to all races if a beautiful song is played on it. At least that's a moral I can get behind...

It's official: Every single episode with Yak involvement in any shape or form is awful. And why can't Pinkie play a bagpipe? She was a one-pony-band in Swarm of the Century (S1), with lots of instruments to blow into, and she was amazing at it! Why not make it a guitar? Pinkie seemed to be inexperienced with that, as seen in Honest Apple (S7).
