Favourite band of all times and still proud to be listen to them today, saw them in Swansea when I was in my teens and met my No One Hero of all times, Marty Kristian, I had a kiss and his autograph and still got it safe today 42 years on, I'll never forget that day. All 5 members were so talented and were unique band, they were amazing to see in concert and to watch on T.V., they dressed in amazing 70s outfits which I still love to this day. Were under rated for their excellent talent and should be up the top of the list with Abba.

The New Seekers survived despite a number of personnel changes, their popularity was not confined to the UK, but was evident in America and around the world, where their music was always well-received and their live shows were outstanding. Brilliant harmonies - their album tracks were consistently better than their single releases. Whoever decided on what should be released as a single had no idea of continuity as the singles' styles were all over the place. The band would have got a lot more respect with better singles choices. 'Circles' and 'Pinball Wizard/See Me, Feel Me' both proving just what they could do when given the right material...(Noel Leahy, fan since 1971. Still a big fan of Lyn Paul today)

Great groups don't stop with hit records, the New Seekers were 5 individuals with a great range of musical talents and styles in their repertoire, as is demonstrated by their B sides and album tracks. They could woo audiences in the concert halls, cabarets and on disc. They had something for everybody, a true mark of their greatness.

Good to see such a criminally under rated group on this list of excellent bands. The new seekers were fantastic musicians and vocalists. Their albert hall album shows how good they were acoustically - they were truly badly managed - singles leapt from one style to another and was confusing for fans and probably for the group too.

Fan since 1972, definitely agree that album tracks portrayed a depth of musicianship few ever achieve. Underrated and cruelly discounted by those in the media who knew little and ought to have known better. Five highly talented individuals who if given the chance really could have taught the world to sing. David x

Overlooked and underrated by so much of the press of their time and since. The New Seekers breathed life into their songs, sang tight harmonies and performed a powerful stage show that was loved across the world. Many of the their album tracks went unoticed but portray a depth of musicianship rarely seen in their era or since.

I'm sure the votes here are for the 'classic/hit-making' line-up (1971-74). The mixture of those five voices (six if you count Peter Oliver's contribution) just 'had something' Lyn Paul and Eve Graham had a special sound when their voices combined; then we had Peter Doyle - what a voice. This line-up was never bettered.

Fantastic harmonies - and they could 'rock out' when they wanted to - listen to some of their album tracks: 'Reap What You Sow' from 'Circles' being a good example. Anyone listening to this track for the first time would have a hard job recognizing the group as the same one who did the overrated 'I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing'

Though personaly a lot of there album tracks would have been far bigger hits.
